Suggestions form Kaz Pollard
I recently asked coach @Kaz Pollard what advice she’d give someone who constantly worries about what’s going to happen in the future (we’re seeing this a lot more after last year).
Here’s what she suggested.
Ask yourself these 2 questions:
1. Is what I’m worrying about really necessary to worry about?
2. Is what I’m worrying about actually true?
The key is to be honest, there’s no textbook answer,
it’s about what you’re thinking. Write down what comes to mind.
Now, let go of trying to control the situation, let it play out as it should and pay attention to it only when required.
Worrying about something that may or might not happen, is a self-harming habit. When it arises in your brain gently let it go, don’t waste your precious time feeding the worry wart.
Kaz has created the Wellbeing & Resilience Foundation course for
us. She knows first hand how life can throw curveballs at you and why it's important to prioritise your own self-care.
