NCEA maths help
NCEA maths, made clearer.
NCEA maths is where a lot of confidence is won or lost. Impact Tutoring helps students across New Zealand get on top of NCEA Level 1, 2 and 3 mathematics and the numeracy co-requisite - in person at a local Hub, or online anywhere in the country. Because marks follow confidence, not the other way round.
Support at every level
Wherever your teen is on the NCEA journey, we meet them there and build from strength.
Level 1
Usually Year 11
The foundations that everything later rests on - number, algebra, measurement, statistics and the numeracy co-requisite. Getting Level 1 solid is the single biggest predictor of a calm Year 12 and 13.
- ✓Algebra and number sense
- ✓Graphs and measurement
- ✓Statistics and probability
- ✓Numeracy co-requisite (CAA)
Level 2
Usually Year 12
Where maths starts to branch. We help students choose and master the standards that keep their options open - especially if they are aiming for Level 3 Calculus or Statistics.
- ✓Algebra and coordinate geometry
- ✓Trigonometry
- ✓Statistical inference
- ✓Calculus foundations
Level 3
Usually Year 13
The step to university. Whether it is Calculus, Statistics, or a mix, we focus on the standards that matter for the endorsement and the degree your teen is heading toward.
- ✓Differentiation and integration
- ✓Complex numbers and equations
- ✓Statistical inference
- ✓Exam and endorsement prep
The numeracy co-requisite
Don't let the CAA catch you out
From 2024, every student needs to meet a numeracy co-requisite to be awarded any level of NCEA. It is assessed through a Common Assessment Activity (CAA) - a short online test that trips up more students than most families expect.
We prepare students specifically for the CAA, so a single assessment never stands between them and the qualification they have earned everywhere else.
