Hi All,

My name is Noeline Ottaway. I have had the pleasure of being part of the Impact Tutoring team for the past four years, helping students with both literacy and mathematics.

I live on a large lifestyle block on the outskirts of Te Awamutu. When not tutoring I assist my husband with his property maintenance business, alpaca shearing during the summer, and pottering in my garden. I also enjoy reading, knitting and spending time at the beach. Best of all, I like to spend time with my grandchildren and supporting them in their numerous activities.

Prior to joining Impact Tutoring, I taught for 30 years in the primary sector. During this time I was involved with Reading Recovery and ALIM maths programmes which both focus on learners requiring some extra help. One of my goals is to help children develop confidence in their learning, and be prepared to try new things. I like them to see mistakes as learning opportunities, not failures.
