I am amazed (but not surprised) at how easily the students we provide in-person tutoring for moved to online tuition this week.
The move was so seamless; everyone just got on with making it happen.
Full credit and my thanks to all involved - students, family/whanau and our tutors.
Maintaining stability during times of uncertainty is important and the familiar faces of our tutors and the supportive learning environment we provide helps with that. So again, the ease with which students and tutors moved to working online was really pleasing.
As I reflect on how much has changed since NZ's first lockdown in March 2020, I can see how technology and having systems and processes in place has made such a difference. Previously we worked with students in-person at our Education Hub in Te Awamutu, but by utilising technology, we've been able to help more students no matter where they live.
So, we've not only got a great solution when we move into lockdown, but online tutoring is a permanent service offering available at any time.
