Introducing Dr Anna Barry
Kia ora. I’m Anna, and I’ve been a teacher and mathematical researcher for over a decade.
Originally from the United States, I moved to beautiful Aotearoa to pursue an academic career at the University of Auckland.
Since then, I’ve taught mathematics at university and high school, and have also offered private tutoring in-person and online.
My mathematical background spans a wide range of topics, and my purpose is to use that background to support students who want to grow their mathematical ability for any reason.
Even if a student doesn’t like math, they can always improve in ability. In fact, students often find that they like maths more once they start to understand it!
I’m currently based in the Bay of Islands, where I try to get out to the Poor Knights Islands for scuba diving as often as possible.
