A New Chapter for Impact Tutoring Te Awamutu

My journey with Impact Tutoring has been a labor of love that began three years ago. After serving as an administrator, junior assessor, and tutor, and managing the center’s daily face to face operations for the last eight months, I am beyond thrilled to officially step into the role of Owner. This transition feels like a natural evolution of my commitment to our students and families. Having been "on the ground" for so long, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible transformations that happen within these walls, and I am honored to lead our team into this next exciting chapter.

As I take this step, I want to honor the remarkable woman who made all of this possible. For the past 12 years, Jean has poured her heart and soul into building something truly extraordinary for the Te Awamutu community. She has been a pillar of support, a mentor, and a visionary, creating a legacy of care that has touched countless lives. Jean has been absolutely fabulous throughout this transition, and I feel incredibly privileged to carry forward the beautiful, high-standard foundation she has spent over a decade perfecting.

My passion for this work is fueled by a simple, unwavering belief: every child deserves the opportunity to thrive and become the best version of themselves. I don’t just care about grades; I care deeply about the mindset of our young people. In a world that can often feel overwhelming, I want every student who walks through our doors to recognize their intrinsic self-worth. I am a firm believer in self-paced, supported education and the magic that happens when a child learns in a holistic, nurturing environment that prioritizes their emotional well-being alongside their academics.

Ultimately, I love being a part of building happy, confident, and resilient young people. My goal is to ensure Impact Tutoring remains a sanctuary—a safe, nurturing space for self-expression where kids feel empowered to take risks and grow. By fostering this environment, we aren't just teaching subjects; we are opening up a world of future prospects for our youth.
